The Board of Churches of Christ in Victoria and Tasmania (CCVT) is pleased to announce that Rev. Jody Destry will commence as Executive Officer on 2 February 2026.
Jody brings over two decades of ministry, governance, and organisational leadership experience, most recently as Co-Senior Pastor of Discovery Church, as well as significant background in pastoral supervision, strategic leadership, and formation. She has a deep love for the local church and a strong commitment to helping leaders, teams, and communities flourish.
Her appointment comes as CCVT enters a new season with the launch of our five-year strategic plan. Jody’s discernment, collaborative leadership style, and ability to navigate through change make her an excellent fit for this next chapter. Jody looks forward to listening to the movement, recognising needs, and helping shape CCVT’s future direction.
Acknowledging Michael Vanderree
The Board extends its sincere thanks to Michael Vanderree, who has served—and will continue to serve—as Interim Executive Officer until Jody begins.
Michael has offered exceptional leadership throughout this transition, carrying the role with wisdom, steadiness, grace and generosity. He will continue to assist with the handover and will maintain an important leadership role on the Executive Team. His ongoing contribution is deeply valued, and we are grateful for his willingness to continue supporting CCVT through this period of change.
