Position Available: Hope in the Hills | Community Connections Worker

Casual, 4 hours per week during Project period (beginning in August for approx. 9 months)

Position Summary

Hope in the Hills is looking for a suitable person to serve in a Community Connections Worker role as part of a fixed-term project. This position is part of the Hope on Friday (HOF) team and reports to the Senior Pastor. HOF has operated for almost 25 years and is highly valued by participants, volunteers and Hope in the Hills Church members. It provides food relief, breakfast and connection every Friday morning to anyone who needs it.

The role will involve engaging and establishing connections with relevant services in the area, connecting with volunteers and visitors, sourcing and developing resources, training and empowering the HOF team and tracking the effectiveness and outcomes of the Project. The aim is to provide access to needed services and better serve the people who attend.

A current Victorian Working With Children Check is required and the ability to complete and comply with our Child Safety training requirements.

Hope in the Hills is a family-oriented church located in Tecoma in the Dandenong Ranges of Eastern Melbourne. Our vision is to be a people of hope in the Hills. We have a passion for serving the local community through opportunities like Hope on Friday, Hope on Tuesday and Kids Hope in the local primary school.
