Churches and Agencies are expected to ensure that appropriate risk procedures are in place and that documentation is available to all key leaders and volunteers. This will necessitate risk appetite statements and risk policies being developed. It is also important, however, that risk treatment is current and this will warrant risk assessments being completed for all activities.
A templated document such as the one that can be downloaded here should be completed for various categories of the activities you provide (e.g. services, on-site youth events, off-site youth events, small group activities, etc. – one document for each category to be completed and retained by each Affiliate). This will be a helpful way of ensuring continued provision of a safe environment for all those we assist or minister to.
