Churches of Christ in Victoria and Tasmania Inc (CCVT) has joined the Federal Government’s National Redress Scheme for people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse.
On 1 November 2018, the CCVT Inc Board formally resolved to act as Representative for any affiliated churches or agencies who wish to join as part of the CCVT Participating Group.
CCVT Inc will also represent any defunct (closed) churches or agencies as part of this group.
This means people who were abused in the care of these Affiliates have the choice of applying to the Scheme for redress, or seeking redress through the courts, or contacting CCVT or the relevant church or agency directly.
