Supporting Local Carers and Children this Christmas – in partnership with Berry Street
We are partnering with Berry Street who run foster, kinship and residential care programs provide children and young people who have experienced trauma with a safe and secure place to live.
Children in foster, kinship and residential care are not only journeying through trauma, they often do not have the same levels of financial support and opportunities that other children do.
At the same time, carers are selflessly giving of themselves and also require a reprieve so they can recuperate.
Our partnership aims to provide local carers and children with support and care that they would otherwise not be able to afford:
The types of care this campaign aims to provide looks like:
- iPads & Data for children who have no access to technology and internet so they do not fal behind in school
- Family experiences such as trips to Legoland, Gumbuya World
- Hot Springs experiences for carers to be able to relax and take some time out
As we engage with carers and children, we want them to not only experience blessing, but also experience the love of Christ through us. They will always know that there is a local community of people who care for them!
