Wallan Gateway Church has been running a foodbank for almost a decade, providing countless families and individuals with free food over the years. The team offers not only food but also opportunities to connect with local community members, as well as links to other services such as the NDIS, legal support, Centrelink, domestic violence support, housing assistance, and financial advice.
We are well known for supporting our local community but with significant cost-of-living pressures, we understand when people from further afield also reach out.
We partner with Foodbank Victoria, SecondBite, Northern Community Legal Centre, and a diverse range of local primary health-care providers, as well as our local Council and Parliamentarians.
Wallan Gateway Foodbank is open on Thursdays during school terms, operating from 10:30am to 1:00 pm. It is closed during school holidays; however emergency provisions can be organised outside these times.
